The Influence of the Invasive Plant Taraxacum officinale (FH Wigg) on Soil Characteristics

The study which was aimed at detecting the effects of properties Taraxacum officinale on characteristics soils carried out in a garden Use Offot Community Uyo, Akwa Ibom state using purposive sampling method. samples were collected depth 0-30 cm from different points area, and bulked into one composite sample. Standard procedures adopted analyses soil sample results analysis showed that with had neutral pH (7.055) as against control slightly acidic (6.72). organic carbon, total nitrogen available phosphorus contents 0.78 %, 0.04 87.04 mg/kg respectively. average cation exchange capacity (3.25 cmol/kg) low; also texture identified loamy sand.
